The live-in caregiver program details

Who can apply for a foreign live-in caregiver?

  • If you live in Canada and you need a full-time, live-in caregiver for your child(ren), elderly parents, or a handicapped family member and you
  • Can afford to pay the minimum wage as set forth in your provincial labour regulations
  • Can offer the live-in caregiver a private accommodation (own room at a minimum)
  • Can show that you have tried to recruit a local caregiver without success

Who are we?

What sets us apart from other agencies? We are immigration firm. Our main objective is to help qualified foreign workers to come legally to Canada and obtain permanent residence. That is what the live-in caregiver program is about. After two years of employment in Canada, the caregiver can apply for permanent residence, bring her family to Canada. One day she will leave and live her own life.

We are committed to finding the right match between family in Canada and our client. It is only logical that we want the relationship to work and both parties to be happy. That is why we make sure that you, the family, is well-informed, properly educated and receive all the help you may need in the process.

Services we offer

  • Assessment of your needs
  • Verification of minimum requirements
  • Presentation of caregivers' profiles in accordance with your needs
  • Verification of caregivers' references
  • Unlimited and unrestricted contact with the caregiver of your choice
  • Consulting services related to employment of a foreign worker (obtaining a payroll registration, deducting IE, CPP, and income taxes and payments to the CCRA, labour standards, etc.)
  • Preparation of employment offer and employment contract, negotiation of terms and conditions of the contract
  • Application for a confirmation of your employment offer by the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC)
  • Setting you up for payroll account with Revenue Canada , helping you figure out the deductions and pay cheques

And, of course, we will provide support and consulting during your employer-employee relationship with the recruited worker - you may call us anytime if you have a problem with your caregiver and we will do our best to resolve the issue. If the problem cannot be solved, we will find you a new caregiver - free-of-charge.

We charge a one-time administration fee for our services. That means that once you become our client, you will stay our client for as long as you employ our caregiver - whether it's this one or the next one.

The fee is $ 1,000.00 plus GST. It includes all the above services and anything else that you may need. The fee does not reflect the amount of work we will be doing on your behalf, rather it is a way to ensure your commitment once you make the decision to work with us.
