About our servicesWe do our best to place our clients as soon as humanly possible. This doesn't always work out, of course, but in the long run our overall success rate and the feeling of well being we get when we finally make a match makes it all worth while for us. Finding you a family does not mean that our work is done. We need to be in almost constant contact with all parties and the process is time consuming. Overseas time differences range anywhere from 5 to 12 hours. Quite often our people are working as late as 1 or 2 am and start sometimes before 6 am to get the job done. We are not and have never been a "9 to 5" company. We are here to serve you. Most caregivers don't know the exact protocol they need to follow and the family, in most cases, has to be instructed to understand what the HRSDC requires from them. Most families don't realize that they will need to become a legal employer. They must be made aware of the laws of the Canadian government regarding employees. While we have a duty to the caregiver, we also have a duty to the employer. Our major objective is to find the right family for you and make sure that the family knows everything there is to know so that they treat you right. While we are by no means the most expensive company out there, some may consider our fees rather high. And they are, if you compare just the prices. We don't just get you an employer as most agencies do, we follow through with the important things you and your employer need to do and understand to make your transition legal as well as meaningful to both parties. Unlike many agencies that accept anyone, we analyze every client and we simply do not accept them if we don't think we can place them. The placement depends on many factors. Not only your qualifications, but also how you portray yourself in your emails and phone conversations, how well you communicate and how flexible you are. If you send us filled out form, you will find out that we have many and many more questions before we agree to represent you. While it is our job to find you a suitable family, we cannot do it alone. Remember, at one point, you will be contacted by potential employer for interview. If not by phone, at least by e-mail. This is where it falls into your own hands. It will be up to you to convince the employer that you are the best choice for their family. If you don't like the employer or don't feel that the job is something you can do, simply don't take the job. We will never force you to do anything you don't feel comfortable with. Any other way could end up being a complete disaster for you as well as the family. You have to be comfortable with the employer, as the employer must be comfortable with you. We also screen the employers. We won't accept any employer who we feel will treat our clients like maids and/or butlers. They need to have a genuine need for a caregiver, not just a need for a housekeeper. We don't want the employer or you to be dissatisfied once you finally arrive into their homes. By conversing with the employer directly, you get a feel for them and they for you. If you are both comfortable with one another, your chances of staying in pleasant surroundings are insured. The employer is happy and you are happy. This makes us happy. The last thing we want is for you to enter a situation where you are not comfortable. We will negotiate a fair contract for you and educate the employer about his duties, obligations and responsibilities. We will be your advocate when things go wrong and we will try to help you if you need help. Is this "matching" foolproof? Of course not. But unlike many other companies, we do everything we can to make sure that your new employer is a match for you as well. So, in essence, we don't just find an employer for you and take your money. We are constantly working for you, through the entire time you are employed. We are always here for you if and when you ever need us, even after you land and start your new career. Even if you want someone just to talk to. Our involvement doesn't end when you finally meet your new employer. So, if you are looking for just any employer and don't care about your living conditions, perhaps you would do better with a company that charges cut rate prices. If you are looking for a future in a caring home... we are here for you. |
